After Shouting ‘Charlie Kirk Died and We Love It,’ Massachusetts Woman Faces Federal Threat Charges

A 37-year-old Malden woman is facing federal charges after allegedly threatening to kill federal agents during an immigration enforcement operation outside the Malden District Court late last month.

According to charging documents, the incident happened on the morning of September 29, 2025, when agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were working together in Medford, Massachusetts. The agents were assisting ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in arresting a man — identified in court papers only as Person 1 — following his arraignment on a state charge of leaving the scene of property damage.

As Person 1 left the courthouse around 11:30 a.m., agents approached him, informed him that he was the subject of an immigration arrest, and took him into custody without incident. While they were doing so, Bethany Abigail Terrill, who was not connected to the operation, began filming the agents on her phone and shouting at them.

Witnesses and body camera footage allegedly show Terrill pushing through the agents and yelling, “ICE is here, ICE is here,” “You guys are monsters,” “Sir, what’s your name?” and “I have a right to be here!” Agents, who were wearing badges and clothing identifying their agencies, repeatedly told her to back up and warned she could be arrested if she didn’t comply. Terrill continued pressing toward them, ignoring their commands as the officers tried to complete the arrest.

Court filings describe Terrill as belligerent and increasingly aggressive. She allegedly began cursing at the agents, calling them “Nazis” and “disgusting.” While Person 1 was being led to a vehicle, Terrill allegedly yelled, “Charlie Kirk died, and we love it… we’re coming for you, gonna kill you.”

An FBI agent who heard the statement turned around to detain her, concerned she might have a weapon or other means to immediately carry out the threat. Terrill allegedly resisted violently as the agent tried to detain her, fighting to escape and forcing three additional agents to help restrain her. At one point, according to the complaint, she hooked her long acrylic fingernail around one of the handcuffs to stop officers from securing her other wrist. The agents repeatedly told her to release her hand, but she allegedly kept struggling and screaming until she was finally restrained.

The entire encounter was recorded on multiple body-worn cameras, which investigators later reviewed as part of the case.

Terrill was charged with threatening a United States official, a federal offense that carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. She made her initial appearance in federal court in Boston the same afternoon.
